Stripes & Floral

Remember Project Destash?  I'm still plugging away on that.  Revamping old clothes is always a fun challenge.  Though I recently just got rid of tons because I just couldn't hang onto all of them.  I kept a few just so that I can still do some upcycling here and there.

I had this stripe shirt that never really looked great on me, but the knit was so soft, I thought I'd make a little gathered peplum for Lila.
I started with the Pretty in Peplum Pattern (because what else, right?) and then just did a small gather at the waist.
The leggings are Lollipop Leggings by Peekaboo Pattern Shop.  It's a good pattern and leggings are a nice, fast, satisfying project.  The floral fabric is from Joanns.
The combo is basically my favorite.
Side note if you're wondering if Lila actually likes to model the clothes I make.  I'll let you be the judge.
I have been learning to offer a little treat afterwards.  It's helped the 'tude improve a little.
Because who doesn't love a treat now and then....or always.  ;)

  1. Ha, yes I dont know how we would get through a photo shoot without treats...during and after (they are really sneaky negotiators those kids). Love the outfit!!

  2. I like the post format as you create user engagement in the complete article. It seems round up of all published posts. Thanks for gauging the informative posts.
